Relationship; God; Heaven

Daniel could only watch with his eyes as his very good friend Timi replied "I do" to the popular question asked a couple during a wedding.
He is the Timi's best man. And just standing beside him make the vow puts a grin on his face as he vividly remembers his own ordeal the previous months.

Ifeoma had left him so miserable that he took a decision never to give his heart to any other lady. The cold call that morning was enough to spoil his entire day. Ifeoma had put a call through to him to break the news of a back out on their relationship. The second call had Daniel at the other end saying "Hello"
Ifeoma: Hello Dan

Daniel: Hi Ify. How are you this lovely day.

Ifeoma: I'mm... f..

Daniel: Wait wait wait! Are you okay? Is everything alright? Is your aunty fine?

Ifeoma: Daniel, everything is fine. Daniel I want to tell you something.

Daniel: What is it? I'm all ears. (as his heart pounds repeatedly)

Ifeoma: I want you to see me as a friend from now on and not as though we're dating.

Daniel: Ife dear, please is everything alright. Why will you say such a thing.

Ifeoma: Please understand... I just want to focus for now.

Daniel knew everything was his fault. His lack of self-control has actually cost him a relationship which he believes is ordained by God. What followed after that call was a traumatic experience of pain and emotional distress. He mourned in his heart for days and cried unto God. He asked many questions whose answers were not forth coming. He knew he has a weakness that can only be defeated with God's strength. He lost a medal. A beautiful and shinny one at that. 18th November, he made  decision to redirect all his energy to serving and working for God, saving his money and sending applications to institutions to further his education with an advanced degree. All in an effort to turn off his emotions.

"Well" He says to himself still with a smile on his face as Kemi, Timi's bride, said her vows.
"It's all for good". "Such relationship could have degenerated to an ungodly one anyway. I thank God all the same and pray for the best for her... especially in her spiritual life and walk with God"

Pastor Israel: You may now kiss the bride...

Matthew 5:30
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Selah... pause and think
